My passion for chess started with its strategic depth and the challenge it presents. Coaching allows me to share that enthusiasm and help others develop their skills. I've been coaching for 2 years, and it's been incredibly rewarding to see my students grow and improve.

My proudest moment was when one of my students, who had never played chess before and barely knew how to move the pieces, made incredible progress in just 3 sessions. She went on to win games against more experienced players, which was a testament to her hard work and dedication. It was inspiring to see her confidence grow and her skills develop so quickly.
My coaching philosophy focuses on fostering a love for the game while building strong foundational skills. I believe in a personalised approach, adapting my teaching style to each student's needs. I emphasise critical thinking, problem-solving, and enjoying the learning process. Creating a supportive and encouraging environment is key, as it helps students feel confident and motivated to improve.

For beginners, I focus on the basics and foundational concepts, while more advanced students might work on strategy and tactics. Regular feedback and open communication help ensure that each student feels supported and challenged appropriately.
